Vietnam - Cai Luong Music
With this recording, singer Huong Thanh goes right back to her roots, back to Cai Luong theatre music and the influence of her father Huu Phuoc, but also back to traditional music of the three regions of Vietnam: beneath the subtlety of this singing, a refined accompaniment is provided by a formation of dàn tranh zither, dàn bau monochord, sao flute, dàn kim lute, dàn co fiddle and trông percussion.
