Martinique - Bèlè, Tradition & Creation
Bèlè tradition evokes distant Africa with its mix of song, dance and drums. Once discouraged, this form of artistic expression has now become an emblem of Martinique. The voice of Edmond Mondésir with a contemporary note also pays homage to masters of the genre like Benoît Rastocle and Félix Casérus.
