J-J Milteau. Monsieur Harmonica. France's leading exponent of the blues harp. With rooots in jazz and popular music, he began as sideman with major artists llike Montand and Aznavour before embarking on a singular solo career. His albums have been greeted with international acclaim, particularly his Universal period which places him firmly in the Paul Butterfield tradition of virtuoso instrumentalists with an unerring instinct for guitar/keyboard/horn arrangements producing an unique "group" sound.
